Who is responsible

AISafeCheck (aisafecheck.com) is published by Orai Media, a trade name of Meedenker Services, Hofbergen 5, 3632 WB Loenen aan de Vecht, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 80982603. Orai Media is the controller for the processing described here.

What we do not collect

You cannot create an account on this site, there is no newsletter and there are no contact forms. We place no advertising cookies and build no profiles of visitors.

What the site does record

• Visit statistics. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views together with the page, the referring site, the country or region, the browser and the type of device. It uses no cookies; a visit is recognized by a hash that is thrown away after 24 hours, so it cannot follow you from one day to the next.
• Loading speed. Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load in your browser, so we can spot slow pages. It uses no cookies either.
• Clicks to a provider. When you use a button to visit a provider, our server notes which product the button belongs to and the browser identification your browser sends along, and Web Analytics counts the click on that page. We use this to see which buttons people use.
• Hosting. The site runs on Vercel. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address.

What stays in your browser

The ticks you set in the homepage checklist are saved in your own browser, so they are still there next time. The search box loads a list of our pages and filters it on your device; what you type is not sent to us.

After you click through to a provider

Many buttons lead to a provider through a partner link. After that click, the provider or its affiliate network may set its own cookies to record that you came from AISafeCheck. From that moment its own privacy policy applies, and we have no say over it.

Legal basis and how long we keep it

We process the data above on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a reliable site and understanding how it is used (article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Statistics are kept only in aggregated form. Server logs are kept for as long as our host retains them and are not combined with other data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to the address above. Because the site has no accounts and asks for no names, there is usually nothing we can link to you.

You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or to the supervisory authority where you live.

When this statement changes, the date at the top changes with it.
